Abstract

Translation is an essential process in the field of language learning, especially for students who study English as a foreign language. It involves transferring meaning from a source language into a target language while maintaining accuracy and clarity. However, translation is not merely about substituting words but also about comprehending context, grammar, and cultural nuances—concepts highlighted in the second edition of Translation: An Advanced Resource Book for Students by Hatim and Munday (2019). This frames it as a multifaceted act that bridges linguistic and cultural boundaries, making it both intriguing and inherently challenging. Thus, translation warrants deeper scholarly attention.
