Aulad follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
- Correction (Erratum/Corrigendum): published when a small part of an otherwise reliable article is found to be inaccurate (e.g., an error in a table, author name, or affiliation). The correction is published as a separate notice linked to the original article, and the article is updated with a note.
- Expression of Concern: issued when there is inconclusive evidence of misconduct or an investigation is ongoing.
- Retraction: issued when findings are unreliable due to major error or misconduct (fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research). The original article remains online, watermarked "RETRACTED", with a retraction notice stating the reason, who initiated it, and the date. Crossref metadata is updated.
- Removal: only in exceptional legal cases; a notice explaining the removal is retained.
Requests for correction or retraction may be submitted by authors, readers, or institutions to the Editor-in-Chief.
